A priest in Virginia has plead guilty to charges that he stole thousands of dollars from two churches while he served as their priest. He has family in the Philippines, and he wired over $515,000 to them to purchase property for him. He will be paying back a significant portion to the diocese. Talk about an abuse of religious power.
