Archbishop serves communion to cross-dressing nuns

Archbishop George Niederauer was serving communion in a church in San Francisco when he served communion to two unusual nuns. The “nuns” were actually men dressed as nuns, members of a group called The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. The group dresses like sisters in order to publicize their drive for gay rights. The Archbishop has apologized, saying he did not realize that the two men were not really nuns.
