The movie portrays the slaughter of 150 Arkansas settlers by Mormon radicals. Some historians believe the order for the massacre was given by church leader Brigham Young, a view that Romney, a Mormon, rejects.

In the wake of severe flooding in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, China, and Pakistan, the Pope is asking for people to help out. The annual monsoon season was much worse than normal, killing at least 2,000 and leaving 30 million without homes. I wonder why we’re not hearing more about this. Just because the flooding wasn’t caused by a tsunami doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t be hearing about it and sending aid.
