Arizona Travel Guide

Saturday, March 31st, 2007

Arizona is a beautiful place to visit.  It is so full of heritage and culture, not to mention there is not much humidity there so it makes it easier for people with asthma and other breathing related issues to breathe.

There are so many different things to see and do in Arizona that you need an Arizona Travel Guide.  The Arizona Travel Guide tells you things such as how far away a hotel is away from a certain attraction that you are looking at, and tells you all about the attractions themselves!

Arizona would be a really awesome place to spend a good chunk of the winter in, because of the warmth and dryness!  Arizona is also just a very wonderful vacation spot, to get away from the normal everyday mundane life.

Mother’s Day

Friday, March 30th, 2007

Mother’s day is that happy day of the year where your mom pretends that she does not want any kind of gift, but you know deep inside she would be hurt if you did not at least acknowledge her with some sort of present.

On Mother’s Day Flowers sell like hotcakes, it is one of the most popular gifts for someone to give to their mum.  Last year I got my mom flowers from FlowerShop.com.  Ordering flowers online is so nice and secure, everything went according to plan.

This year I think I will get her some more flowers from that site, and also maybe include one of their chocolate covered berry selection.  Flowers and chocolate are all a mother needs to be happy on this day!

Story part 3

Friday, March 30th, 2007

Part 2 revisited: So anyways Jennifer and him had a really long conversation about John Smith, and how incredibly “great” he was. Then Jennifer asked a question that he was not prepared for she asked, “I always heard that polygamy was OK within your church”. Thinking to himself that he did not want to close any options for him in the long run, he told her that it is only OK in that religion if the woman says that it is. Jennifer thought this was a really cool thing, that this religion allowed women to make so many choices.

Part 3

He said good night to her, and got her phone number. Little did she know he would be visiting her again really soon. Later that night he went into “stealth” mode and climbed up into a tree so he could properly see into her bedroom. He did not have regular binoculars either, he had the kind that you see at operas. This gives you a little better picture of what a weird-o the guy is. He sat up in the tree waiting for Jenny to go to bed. Jenny did not go to bed though, he found out about 4 hours later that she had passed out on the couch.

Champagne and Wines Online

Friday, March 30th, 2007

Champagne and Wine are not just drinks, but to some people they are a hobby. I am myself not a wine connoisseur, but I never met a glass of red wine that I did not like. It is so amazing how some people are just so good at tasting wine that they can guess what kind it is just from smelling the cork.

There is a cute little site with gift baskets that include wine and fruit. It would make an awesome gift for any couple that is getting married, or maybe even mother’s day! Champagneswines.com offers a lovely selection of different kinds of wines and champagnes to fit any palette.

Interesting Indie Article

Friday, March 30th, 2007

Here is something from a random google search. It may not be the most well-writen thesis ever, but it gets its point home. It discusses how religious figures like Buddha and Jesus Christ were, in fact, “spirtual” and against “religion” so they were, in turn, harassed by the religious and the fanatics. Jesus died as a result of this persecution, as we know. Pretty good prespective on religious extremism from someone who is a reasonable believer.

Religion imparts spirituality but religious fanaticism destroys spirituality. Religion and spirituality are distinctive. Spirituality is common to all religions. Research on Soul and spiritual happiness are the aims of spirituality.

The persons responsible for the formation of world religions such as Buddha, Mahaveer, Jesus Christ, Prophet Mohammed were all expounders of Spirituality and were against religions. Therefore they were persecuted by religionists and religious fanatics. Jesus christ was the most persecuted among them. He was murdered. Not an ordinary murder but He was tortured and killed. The instrument used for that purpose was the cross.

The words which proceeded from His mouth when He was tortured on the cross declare Him as an epitome of spirituality and as a Spiritual leader and the revealer of spirituality to the world. Therefore his spiritual teachings are widely followed in all countries of the world.

Personalized Baby Gifts

Thursday, March 29th, 2007

Isn’t it kind of funny how America tends to turn every event into some kind of present giving situation?  Today I am mainly talking about baby showers.  All the women that a pregnant woman knows gather together, and share their horror stories about having children, and then give the pregnant woman gifts.  Kind of an odd ritual huh?  Anyways, every time that I go to one of these events, the people always get the expecting mother the same things, she gets about a million packs of onesies, and bottles.  There is a solution to this though, you can get personalized baby gifts to give to the mother.  It shows personality, and it also shows that you put though into your gift.  Anyone can go buy a pair of pajamas, but only some special friends would get a pair of pajamas with the expected baby’s name on them!

Bush’s Religious Fanaticism

Thursday, March 29th, 2007

Here’s another good one - this article is from about a year ago. It talks about The religious fanaticism of the George W. Bush administration… their blatent disregard for facts of science in favor of ancient dogma. They use religious rhetoric to counter new scientific breakthroughs, like stem cell research. The article also goes into the whole HPV thing in women ad how Mr. Bush wanted to encourage abstinence rather than allow the vaccine. Read for yourself…

In case you’re still not sure just how destructive the Bush administration has become to this country, you need to read Michael Specter’s piece in the March 13 issue of the New Yorker magazine.

It’s enough to give you the willies.

Specter documents how the Bush people have stacked the Food and Drug Administration with fanatics who regularly trump science to advance their own religious beliefs. It reads like a modern-day Galileo being persecuted by the Catholic Church because he maintained Earth was round.

Although Specter cites several examples of religious beliefs thwarting scientific advances by key appointees to the FDA and other divisions of the Department of Health and Human Services (Tommy Thompson’s old department), one of the most egregious has been to block a vaccine designed to thwart cervical cancer.
